• Who are the President’s Associates?

President's Associates are alumni, parents, faculty, staff and other friends who make annual contributions of $1,000 or more to NAU.  They are a unique and inspirational group whose dedication to NAU is distinct and whose generosity is remarkable.  They establish and increase scholarships, increase endowments of faculty chairs, aid in funding advanced research, enhance college programs and departments, and more.  President’s Associates aspire for the continued enhancement of NAU and are committed to making a difference in the lives of its students.

• Why does NAU need donations?

State funding, tuition, and fees do not cover the total cost of what it takes to provide an NAU education each year.   Generosity from President’s Associates support every facet of the NAU student experience.  Their support opens the doors for students to attend NAU at a reasonable tuition rate and increases scholarships.  Their generosity attracts and maintains outstanding professors who cultivate student potential, and helps provide a myriad of programs and research opportunities that allows Northern Arizona University to offer an exceptional education.  President’s Associates help NAU to grow as an incomparable experience of higher learning. 

• Where do my donations go?

Your contributions to NAU are designated according to your wishes and directly benefit the areas you choose.  You can choose to designate your gift to more than one area. Simply note your preference on the gift form and how much you want to give to each area.  It’s your gift, your choice.

• Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes, your gift is100% tax-deductible as provided by law. Once we receive your gift, you will receive a receipt verifying that your gift has been deposited into the account you have specified.

• Can I make a gift jointly with my spouse?

Yes. Indicate on the gift form that your gift is made jointly.

• Can I make an anonymous gift?

Yes.  Simply note your preference on the online or print gift form.

• How long is my membership for?

President’s Associates membership is for NAU’s academic year, July 1 to June 30. 

• How can I make my gift?

Gifts to NAU may be made in cash, by credit card, or in negotiable securities:

If your employer offers a matching gift program you may be able to double or even triple your gift to NAU! Simply obtain the matching gift form from your human resources department and forward the completed form along with your gift to:
